Scott Dinkel named manager of Bogalusa mill

BOGALUSA, La. – International Paper announced today that longtime employee Scott Dinkel had been named manager of the local Containerboard Mill.

“I am honored to hold the position as Bogalusa Mill Manager,” Dinkel said about assuming leadership responsibility of the mill. Dinkel started working at International Paper in Prattville, Ala., in 1995. “I understand the valuable position this mill plays in community involvement, workforce development, and economic development,” he said. “I am proud to support the dedicated team members at our mill through deliberate focus on safety, engagement and performance.”

Dinkel has a Chemical Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and has held numerous positions throughout International Paper, including Fibers Manager, Manufacturing Excellence Manager, Finished Products Manager and Operations Manager.

Nakia Cowan was previously the mill manager, having held the position since August 2022. Earlier this month, Cowan was named the mill manager in Valliant, Okla., leaving Scott Dinkel as the new mill manager.
