Suspects in Dollar General robberies named

WASHINGTON PARISH, La. – The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office (WPSO) has named the suspects in thefts at local Dollar General stores.

The suspects, both with warrants for their arrest, are as follows:

  • Adaryl Dashawn Bickham (born 07/13/1994), Franklinton area resident.
  • Tyrais Robinson (born 03/12/1996), Franklinton area resident.

“Detective [Russell] Walker, a seasoned investigator with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, is leading the effort to locate and apprehend these individuals,” said Candice Sledge, the WPSO Public Relations Officer. “Detective Walker can be reached via email at rwalker@wpso.la.gov or by phone at 985-839-3434.”

Since August, Bickham and Robinson have stolen from Dollar General locations across Washington Parish. They fill their shopping carts and leave without stopping at the cash register to pay. These thefts are unrelated to previously reported Dollar General thefts.

“The suspects have been observed fleeing the scene in an older model Nissan Altima, which is tan in color,” said Sledge.

WPSO consequently has several ongoing cases involving the retail thefts and have already issued warrants for the suspects. They ask for anyone who knows where Adaryl Dashawn Bickham and Tyrais Robinson are to come forward.

“We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our local businesses, and with the public’s cooperation, we can achieve this goal,” Washington Parish Sheriff Randy “Country” Seal.
