Walter Beck Jr.

Walter Beck, Jr., age 69, was born on Dec. 28, 1945. He departed this life into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 16, 2015, at home in Bogalusa. Walter was a faithful and life-long member of Second Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Stella, of 46 years, and into this union was born Jacqueline Beck and Todsha Beck of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Destiny, La-Traveen, Trinity, LaTajdrion and Jazmine Beck of Oklahoma; one great-grandchild, Anasia Beck of Oklahoma; four godchildren, Tina Patterson of Washington, Cary Bickham and Felicia Harrell of Oklahoma, and Leneisha Jefferson of Bogalusa; two brothers, Alvin (Bobbie) Beck of Bogalusa and John (Linda) Beck of Purvis, Miss.; and two sisters, Alvina (Donald) Nichols of Varnado and Gloria Jean (James) McNair of Purvis, Miss.
Walter was preceded in death by his mother, Mazie Arnell Collins; his father, Walter Beck, Sr.; sister, Pauline Arnell Beck-Brown; and grandson, Isaiah Beck.
Walter will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Visitations was held Tuesday, July 21, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. D. Self officiating. Interment will be at Bogalusa Cemetery.
