Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office seeks public assistance in identifying retail theft suspect

FRANKLINTON, La. – On September 23, 2023, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into a retail theft incident that occurred at the Dollar General store located in Franklinton, Louisiana. Detectives are actively seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for this crime.

According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified female entered the Dollar General store and proceeded to take several items without making any attempt to pay for them. The suspect then exited the establishment through the front door. Surveillance footage captured the incident and detectives have obtained a photograph of the female suspect.

The suspect is believed to have left the area in a silver Mazda 6, although further details about the vehicle are not currently available.
