YMCA Angel Tree Enriches Bogalusa Holidays

BOGALUSA, La. – In a heartwarming display, the community has come together to spread love and joy during the holiday season. In Bogalusa, the YMCA’s Angel Tree program was able to bring the true spirit of Christmas to families that were facing hardships.

The program was a huge success and was able to provide gifts to 135 children from 52 families. This was all made possible by the generous contributions of local sponsors, including Our Lady of the Angels Health, the Lions Club, and 10 individual benefactors, who collectively donated around $18,000 worth of gifts.

The Bogalusa YMCA knows how difficult it can be for families, particularly for single parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, and those who are struggling financially. They recognized that these families needed help, and that’s why they collaborated with local sponsors to make sure that everyone in the community could have a joyful and hopeful holiday season.

The YMCA expressed its gratitude towards its sponsors and acknowledged the crucial role they played in the program’s success. The Angel Tree program has exemplified the power of community spirit, and it shows how collective efforts can have a significant impact, especially during the holidays.
