Brian Keith Creel was born on Aug. 28, 1963, in Bogalusa. He passed away in his home in Sun on Sept. 14, 2022, at the age of 59.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Wanda Creel; daughter, Samantha (L.J.) Daigle; and two granddaughters, Maddison and Riley Daigle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Kuhn Sharp and Julius “Dick” Creel; and his grandparents, Barney and Ruth Kuhn and Albert and Lula Creel.

Brian loved his titles as husband and father, but nothing brought him greater joy than being called PawPaw by his lovey dove (Maddison) and sugar booger (Riley). He was a man of family and faith and will be missed by many loved ones and friends, as well as his little dog Skeeter, his loyal companion of 14 years.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for family and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for friends. Visitation will continue Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Bros. Charles Creel and Rusty Kuhn officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
