Claudette Morris Johnson, 64, died Sunday, June 7, 2020. Mrs. Johnson was a resident of Varnado.

She was born Jan. 27, 1956, to the late O.C and Lillie Mae Morris of Varnado. She graduated from Varnado High School and was a lifelong member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church until her health began to fail.

Claudette was loving and concerned about the welfare of others, she had a magnetic personality, she always wore a smile and never met a stranger. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Jessie Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a faithful and devoted son, Carlos Morris of Varnado, and two grandchildren, Airrekia Sowell and Danica Morris of Bogalusa; two brothers, Stanley Morris of Varnado, and Douglas (Carolyn) Morris of Bogalusa; three sisters, Eva Morris of Varnado, Evelyn Grays of Picayune Miss., and Laura (Randy) King of Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O.C. and Lillie Mae Morris; three sisters, Ella Mae Hall, Idella Roberts and Toni Mark; and two brothers, Curlie Lee Morris and Curtis Morris.

A funeral service was held Thursday, June 18, at the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

Cook-Richmond Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
