Vanessa Rena Long Banks, 50, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. that day, the one her family and friends loved and cherished steeped across the threshold called death into a room God had prepared for her. Now she is at peace with God and rejoicing in her new home.

Banks was born March 18, 1965, to the late Joe and Henrie Pearl Miller Long.

She was united in holy matrimony to Glyn Earl Banks in 1992 and to this union two children were born, T’Keyah Shanell Banks and Keashia Rena Banks.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Glyn E. Banks; two daughters, T’Keyah and Keashia all of Mt. Hermon; one brother, Keith Long of Mt. Hermon;  very special cousins, Mary Ann Dorsey of Mt. Hermon, Frankie Brown of Sunset, and Paricia Williams of Pearl, Miss.; one aunt, Fairy Sims of San Francisco, Calif.; on uncle, Silas Partman of Franklinton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Henrie Pearl Long; and grandparents, Obe and Nina Miller, George and Nancy Long.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m., at Plainview Church of Christ Holiness with Elder Albert J. Brumfield Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the Plainview Church Cemetery in Mt. Hermon.
