Rose Garrett Lavalais, age 82, a resident of Folsom, passed away, Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Barry Garrett of Folsom; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Marie Dyson Garrett; one daughter, Cassandra Garrett; a brother, Sampson Garett; and four sisters, Cora Bell Carter, Willie Mae Mathers, Bunch Williams and Margaret Penn.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, from 10 a.m. until noon, followed by the funeral service at noon at Homeville Missionary Baptist Church in Folsom, with Elder Larry Bickham as the eulogist and Pastor Calvin Jackson Sr., pastor of the church.
