Franklinton Junior High Students Excel in Louisiana Young Authors Contest

FRANKLINTON, La. – Franklinton Junior High School students recently participated in the Louisiana Young Authors contest, showcasing their literary prowess. The district-level results saw remarkable achievements:
1st Place:
- Clarissah Hanson
- Finn Moak
- Olivia Rowell
- McKayla Wilson
2nd Place:
- Bella-Jayde Badeaux
- Jozy Murray
3rd Place:
- Rhett Anderson
- Aubrey Creel
- Orry Norris
- Weston Webb
- Liam Young
The 1st Place winners will advance to compete at the state level, with the results to be announced at a later date. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances.

Timothy Holdiness is a native of Louisiana and has been published in several state, national and international publications. He has earned two undergraduate degrees in Biology, most recently from Northwestern State University in 2022. Notably, Holdiness was the 2014 Microsoft Office Specialist United States Champion in PowerPoint 2010.
