EMERGENCY CURFEW ORDER TROPICAL STORM FRANCINE

WHEREAS, Washington Parish is under a State of Emergency due to Tropical Storm Francine.
WHEREAS, Washington Parish Government, due to the impact and the possibility of tornados, impassable roadways from flooding, downed trees and power lines, is enacting this emergency curfew order under Proclamation
Number 09-2024-01 for all of Washington Parish, banning people from being in public spaces, streets and roads from
10:00 o’clock pm. On Wednesday, September 11, 2024 through 12:00 o’clock noon on Thursday, September 12, 2024; and
WHEREAS, citing the need to protect our citizens, the Mayors of Franklinton and Bogalusa, Sheriff of Washington Parish and local police chiefs are all in agreement with said curfew. Washington Parish Officials will update as necessary; and
WHEREAS, Washington Parish Government understands that certain employees must continue to fulfill theirjob duties during curfew hours. Employees required to be on duty must carry proper identification to present to law enforcement fi requested.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Ryan Seal, Washington Parish President, require all residents and visitors to comply with the curfew as outlines to ensure safety and facilitate emergency operations.
