Breaking: Jimmerious Smith Wanted in Bogalusa Shooting

BOGALUSA, La. — The Bogalusa Police Department is actively seeking the whereabouts of 18-year-old Jimmerious Smith in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred outside a high school basketball game on January 11. A 14-year-old boy lost his life, and a 13-year-old boy sustained injuries to his leg during the incident.

Jimmerious Smith is wanted on charges including attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments, aggravated criminal damage to property, and possession of a firearm in a firearm-free zone, according to information released by the police.

The police have already made significant progress in the investigation, with four other suspects in custody. Among those arrested are 21-year-old JaMichael Spikes, 18-year-old Caleb Moss, and two teenagers aged 16 and 17.
