FRANKLINTON, La. – Pine Raiders defeat Albany Hornets in District Opener.  With this 41-15 victory, the Raiders posted a 6-0 record on Senior Night. 

The offense had several strong performances. Aiden McIntosh led the rushing attack with 106 yards scoring one touchdown. While James Owens contributed 74 rushing yards and found the end zone as well. James also returned a kick for a touchdown. Luke Spears completed 10 of 14 attempts for 209 yards, a touchdown and two rushing touchdowns.  The leading receiver, Owens had 80 yards and one touchdown. DJ Garrett had 6 catches for 78 yards. Preston Stogner contributed a 40 yard reception.

Defensively, the Raiders were just as dominant. Ethan Rester recorded seven tackles and one interception, while Christian Williams managed 13 tackles. Zachary Thomas made two tackles and one sack, and Trey Knight also secured an interception. Ethan Ryals and Cayden Stogner with 10 and 12 tackles, respectively, and Cayden even managed two sacks.

The Pine Raiders’ teamwork on both sides of the ball secured their victory and continued their unbeaten streak. District continues next week with an away game at Amite.
