The Louisiana Christian University men’s soccer program has high expectations heading into the 2023 campaign and the NAIA Preseason Poll backs up those claims as the Wildcats are receiving votes in the Top 25 to start the season for the first time in school history, earning three votes to land on the backend of the poll and officially slotting in as the 41st-best squad in the nation to begin the year.

Head Coach David Castillo and his guys will get their mettle tested early and often in the non-conference portion of its slate, taking on four consecutive opponents either inside the Top 25 or receiving votes to kick things off.

The Wildcats start the regular season with a neutral site showdown against #8 Georgia Gwinnett on Thursday, August 24 at 5:15 p.m. before battling #4 Dalton State on the following Saturday (August 26, 5 p.m.), with both games happening inside Dalton Stadium in Georgia.

The Orange and Blue will then make their home debut with back-to-back contests versus (RV) Williams Baptist on September 2 at 4 p.m. and #24 Bethel (Tennessee) at 3:30 p.m. on Labor Day.

In Red River Conference action, the projected top-two teams in the league and only two programs to receive votes in the poll, will face off on October 7 at 3:30 p.m. when LCU goes toe-to-toe with (RV) LSU-Shreveport in “The Swamp”.
