Destinie Lynn Bankston is the 18-year-old daughter of Leeann Bankston and Thomas Bankston. She is the granddaughter of John Bankston and the late Kathy Wilkes, William Dykes, and Jessica Dykes. She has two older brothers, Austin and Trystan Bankston, who also graduated from Pine Junior/Senior High School.
Destinie has attended Pine Junior/Senior High School since the sixth grade and attended Thomas Elementary School since the third grade. While at Pine, Destinie has received multiple academic awards including the 4.0 award. She has held a 4.0 GPA for the majority of her high school year including this year. She Dual-Enrolled with Southeastern Louisiana University in English and Biology last year but decided not to Dual-Enroll in anything this year. She has been a member of the Pine Beta Club, History Club, Robotics, National Honors Society, and Upward Bound. Destinie also played for the Pine High School soccer team in her seventh-grade year.
Destinie is currently enrolled at Pearl River Community College and will attend classes in the Fall of 2023 in pursuit of a Psychology career. Destinie has had an amazing high school experience at Pine High and is very nervous, but excited about what life has in store for her after graduation.
