Bowling Green School’s Joey Dupont made the podium after she recorded a fourth and fifth-place tally at the Class 5A Overall Meet that was held on May 5-6.
The state meet’s field events and the 3,200 were on May 5 at Jackson Academy. The rest of the running events were on May 6 at Jackson Preparatory School.
Dupont came in fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.14 seconds. Silliman Institute’s Ava Easley won in 16.01.
Dupont was in four-way tie for second in the high jump with St. Joseph Catholic School of Madison’s Rayne Worshim, Washington School’s Brantley Nimrod and Silliman Institute’s Katie Dawson. The tiebreaker is fewest misses, so Worshim was second, Nimrod and Dawson tied for third and Dupont came in fifth. Pillow Academy’s Alanna Hodo won at 5-0.
