Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Pajak makes it to the podium

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Caden Pajak reached the podium at the Class 3A Overall Meet.
Pajak came in second place in the discus with a throw of 122 feet, 5 inches. Teammate Caleb Mathews was seventh at 102-4. Claiborne Academy’s Patrick Garrett won the title at 151-0.
The field events and 3,200 meters were held on May 5 at Canton Academy with the rest of the track events the next day at Jackson Preparatory School.
Plenty more Ben’s Ford Christian School athletes made it to the overall meet.
Pajak came in sixth place in the shot put at 35-7, as Sylva Bay Academy’s Cayden Hillman won at 42-1.
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s 4×200 and 4×400 meter relay teams were both sixth with times of 1 minute, 43 seconds and 4:07. The 4×200 group included Caleb Mathews, Sam Talley, Jonah Holston and Steven Thibodeaux. The 4×400 team had Mathews, Talley, Jakob Robichaux and Thibodeaux. Desoto School won both races with times of 1:35 and 3:42.
Jonah Holston was seventh in the 100, 200 and long jump after clocking times of 12.12 and 25.03 and jumping 18-0. Greenville Christian School’s Nikquan Parker won both races at 11.12 and 22.96 and Lee Academy of Arkansas’ Nathan Coe captured the long jump with a distance of 21-3.
Thibodeaux was seventh in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles with times of 21.82 and 50.84. Desoto School’s Elijah Cleary won the 110 hurdles in 17.76 and Prairie View Academy’s O’Brian DeJohnette captured the 300 hurdles at 42.50.
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s 4×800 team came in seventh at 12:01. The team had Ruston Kennedy, Derrick Morris, Ben McGrath and Greyson Perrette. Manchester Academy won in 9:20.
Talley was seventh in the triple jump at 34-4.25, as Coe won at 40-4.
Ruston Kennedy came in eighth in the 3,200 with a time of 13:26 with Prairie View Academy’s Jayce Wimbish won in 10:29.
