Several Ben’s Ford athletes competed at Overall Meet

Several Ben’s Ford Christian School athletes competed at the Class 3A Overall Meet.
The field events and 3,200 meters were held on May 5 at Canton Academy with the rest of the track events on May 6 at Jackson Preparatory School.
Avery Dantin came in sixth place in the 3,200 meters with a time of 17 minutes, 6 seconds. Benton Academy’s Lindsey Hogue won in 12:43.
Andie Grace Hughes came in sixth place in the 100 hurdles at 20.94 seconds, as Desoto School’s Anslee Barnes won in 17.59.
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s 4×800 relay team was sixth with a time of 12:54. The team had Dantin, Ella Hall, Ava Mitchell and Matilda Golby. Benton Academy won in 11:12.
Delaney Perrette was sixth in the triple jump at 28 feet, 6.5 inches. Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s Kylie Bolden won at 33-5.
Maddie Willis came in seventh for the 300 hurdles with a time of 58.23. Desoto School’s Kirkley Ann Rawls topped the event in 51.84.
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams were both seventh with times of 2:05 and 4:58. The 4×200 team had Hughes, Leah Rachel, Olivia Norwood and Perrette. The 400 team had Maddie Willis, Leah Rachel, Ella Hall and Perrette. Desoto School captured both races after clocking a 1:50 and a 4:23.
Perrette came in eighth place in the 100 and 400 after running them in 14.05 and 1:17. North Sunflower Academy’s Rihanna Love won the 100 in 12.62 and Desoto School’s Claudia Pittman captured the 400 in 1:01.
Hughes was eighth in the 800 at 3:09 with Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s Ann Patin winning in 2:34.
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s 4×100 relay team was eighth at 1:09. The runners were Ashlyn Dantin, Willis, Norwood and Perrette. Desoto School won in 52.91.
