Ben’s Ford defeated by Franklin Academy

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s baseball team was defeated by Franklin Academy in the first round of the Class 3A state playoffs in the firs two games of a best-of-3 last week.
The first game was a 10-0 loss on the road on April 25 in five innings.
The game was scoreless through three innings, but Franklin scored five runs in both the fourth and fifth innings for the 10-0 win.
The game on April 28 was 6-1.
Aaron Forbes singled twice.
Ein Knight singled and scored a run.
Patrick Easterling and Tyler Brant both singled.
Ben’s Ford Christian School has one senior this year in Jonah Holston.
He has grown on and off the field into a fine young man and will be missed around Ben’s Ford athletes,” Ben’s Ford Christian School coach Tommy Pittman said.
Pittman said that this season for Ben’s Ford was tough, but promising.
“We have a good group of young men come back next year and I’m looking forward to see how they grow and develop,” Pittman said.
Franklin Academy is playing Tallulah Academy the week of May 1. Tallulah Academy had a bye in the first round.
