Franklinton’s baseball team was defeated by Loranger, 5-4, in a District 8-4A road game that was held on Wednesday.

The game was tied at 1-1 after the first inning and stayed that way until the third when Franklinton scored three runs to go up 4-1, but Loranger countered in the bottom of the inning with four of its own to go up 5-4 and reflect the final.

Micah Wascom singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run.

Rickken Burkhalter doubled and scored two runs.

Elisha Hart singled twice.

Tryson Fowler scored a run.

Franklinton’s next game will be on April 6 against Lake Charles College Prep.
