Franklinton’s baseball team was defeated by Loranger, 3-2, in a District 8-4A home game that was held on Monday.

Loranger scored two runs in the first inning before Franklinton countered with one in the bottom of the inning. Both teams scored a run in the third.

Elisha Hart singled and drove in two runs.

Banyan Penton tripled and scored two runs.

Micah Wascom tripled.

Cade Phillips, Dillon Pace, De’Ron Sincero and Rikken Burkhalter all singled for Franklinton.

Pace went the distance on the mound, allowing three runs on eight hits with nine strikeouts and no walks.

Franklinton’s next game will be on April 5 against Loranger on the road.
