Pine’s baseball team defeated Bogalusa, 13-5, in a District 7-3A contest that was held on Thursday at Bogalusa.
Pine’s Luke Spears posted three hits, including a double, three runs batted in and two runs scored.
Brady Polk singled three times and drove in two runs.
Brody Thomas tallied two hits with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Lucas Lemaire singled twice, scored three runs and drove in a run.
Trey Knight doubled and scored three runs.
Preston Stogner singled and drove in two runs.
Hayden Logsdon singled and drove in a run.
Ethan Ryals scored two runs.
Trindon Young allowed three runs, two earned, on two hits over 6.1 innings with eight strikeouts and three walks.
Bogalusa’s Tayln Williams singled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Dyron Jackson, Ayden Magee-Sampson and Leanders Lester all singled and scored a run.
Jaylon Keys singled with an RBI.
Michael Burton scored a run and drove in a run, while Cade Mitchell drove in a run.
Pine’s next game will be on April 4 against Jewel Sumner at home, while Bogalusa will play again on April 4 against Pope John Paul II on the road.
