Pine’s Kathleen Thomas competed in the Division III state meet that was held on Friday at the Cajundome in Lafayette.
Thomas was ninth in the 148-pound weight class with a 660 total. She squatted 245, benched 130 and deadlifted 285. Port Allen’s Jaylynn Netter, who was the outstanding lifter for the 97-148-pound weight classes, won the title with a 900.
Port Allen won the title with 60 points, as 22 teams competed.
Buckeye was second with 34, followed by Abbeville’s 32, Iota’s 20 and Jena’s 18 rounded out the top five.
