McGowan comes in 2nd for the high jump

Bogalusa’s Marley McGowan came in second place in the high jump at the 2023 South Terrebonne Gator Relays that were held on Monday.
McGowan cleared the bar at 5 feet, 6 inches. Assumption’s Braydin Gros won at 5-8.
Bogalusa was the only team from Washington Parish in the meet.
Tramon Ratliff was fourth and fifth in the javelin and the shot put respectively with distances of 107-0.5 and 33-1. Thibodaux’s Griffin Angelloz won the javelin at 142-9 and Ellender’s Jason Powell topped the shot put at 38-5.
Cameron Gable and McGowan ran seventh and ninth in the 400 with times of 1 minute and 1:06. Sophie B. Wright’s Dallas Hughes won in 52.86.
Christian Gable was seventh and 10th for the triple jump and long jump respectively. He triple jumped 31-2 and long jumped 15-9.5. Thibodaux’s Rufino McDowell won the long jump at 19-6 and Ellender’s Chandler Hartman was the triple jump winner at 38-11.
