Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Dantin comes in 2nd in the 3,200

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Avery Dantin came in second place in the 3,200 meters at the 2023 Silliman Curry Relays that was held on March 16.
Dantin ran the 3,200 in 15 minutes, 8 seconds. Silliman Institute’s Marley Bunch won in 14:02.
Ben’s Ford Christian School was the only local team in the meet.
Ashlyn Dantin and Olivia Norwood were third in the 300 hurdles and triple jump respectively.
Dantin ran the hurdles in 1:03, while Norwood triple jumped 24 feet, 2.5 inches. Ashlyn Dantin was fourth in the triple jump at 24-0. Silliman Institute’s JoAnna Cornette won the 300 hurdles in 55.21, while teammate Annabella Windham topped the triple jump at 33-2.5.
Gracie WIllia and Norwood were fourth and fifth in the discus with throws of 63-2.5 and 61-1.5. Silliman Institute’s Sara Pace won the discus at 114-3.
Willis was fourth in the shot put at 15-8. Pace won the event at 31-6.
Ashlyn Dantin and Norwood ran fifth and sixth in the 100 with times of 15.51 seconds and 15.96. Cathedral Unit School’s Ainiyah Lane won in 13.6.
