Bogalusa High School is hosting a track/field meet for 7-12-year olds on March 25 at the Gary C. Magee Sports Complex in Lewis V. Murray Football Stadium.
Awards will be given for first through sixth place.
The action starts at 10 a.m. with the field events.
The field events are softball throw, shot put, long jump, high jump and turbo javelin.
The softball throw starts with 7-year old girls, followed by 7-year boys and then 8-9s.
Shot put is 10-year old girls, followed by 10-year old boys and 11-12s.
Long jump and high jump are for all of the participants.
Turbo javelin is for 10-12s.
The track events get under way at noon.
They include the 50-meter dash, the 100 hurdles, 100, 400, 200, 800 and 4×400 relay.
The 50 is for 7-year old girls, followed by the boys and then 8-9 year olds.
The 100 hurdles is for 10-year old girls, followed by the boys and 11-12s after.
The 800 is for 10-12s.
The 100, 200 and 400 and 4×40 are for all ages.

The registration deadline is March 23 at noon. Registration is $3.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
