Franklinton’s Lavigne comes in 2nd to open Northlake Golf League

Franklinton’s Kade Lavigne came in second place in the first week of the Northlake Golf League that was held on Monday at Franklinton Country Club.

Lavigne carded a 47 in the nine-hole competition. 

Belle Chasse’s Jeff Drury won the league’s first week with a 41.

Lakeshore’s Collin Boudreaux was third with a 49 and teammate Ethan Young and Lornager’s Keaton Peek tied for fourth with both recording a 50 to round out the top five with 19 competitors.

Also for Franklinton, Cliff Cass tallied 60, Nick Schilling posted a 68 and Luke Roshto and Alex Ezell both had a 72.

Salmen’s Kayla McDermott won the girls competition with a 50 in a field of five.

Franklinton’s Lilly Henn was second with a 55, followed by Lakeshore’s Amelia Sivard’s 56, Franklinton’s Brooklyn Pedersen’s 61 and Belle Chasse’s Palmer Delsa’s 62. 

Franklinton is back in action on March 6 when they play in the Northlake Golf League at Royal Golf Club.
