Locals have 3 teams reach LHSAA playoffs

Three local girls basketball teams are headed to the LHSAA state playoffs.
Bogalusa, Pine and Mt. Hermon School are all starting their playoff runs on Feb. 16.
In Division III, Bogalusa and Pine have home games in the bi-district round.
Pine is the ninth seed and they are playing against No. 24 Port Barre at 6 p.m. Pine is 14-10, while Port Barre is 12-11. The winner faces either eighth-seeded West St. Mary (17-7) or 25th-seeded Kinder (10-16).
Bogalusa is the No. 10 seed and they will play against 23rd-seeded Madison at 5:30 p.m. Bogalusa is 10-9, while Madison is 13-12. The winner will go against either No. 7 Avoyelles (21-9) or the 26th-seeded Caldwell Parish (14-18).
Switching to Division V, Mt. Hermon School is in the playoffs as the No. 24 team. They will go against No. 9 Evans at 5:30 p.m. Mt. Hermon is 15-4, while Evans has a 23-7 record. The winner will play either eighth-seeded Hicks (23-10) or No. 25 Saline (14-17).
