Bowling Green comes in 4th at South State

Bowling Green School’s girls basketball team was fourth place at the South State Tournament that was held last Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at Central Hinds Academy.
Bowling Green won last Tuesday’s game, 61-46, over Central Hinds Academy.
On Friday, they were defeated by Copiah Academy, 46-27.
In Saturday’s game to decide third and fourth place, Bowling Green was topped by St. Joseph Catholic School of Madison, 43-37.
Bowling Green had one player make the all-tournament team in Bailey Devall.
The top four teams move on to the Class 5A Tournament that is being held at Pillow Academy on Feb. 14-15 and Feb. 17-18.
Bowling Green will start play against Simpson Academy on Feb. 15 at 4 p.m.
