Local boys basketball teams went against each other

Franklinton defeated Pine and Pine won against Bogalusa in games that were held on Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday, Franklinton defeated Pine, 40-35, on the road.

Jakobie McCormick scored 15 points to lead everybody. He made a 3-pointer

Amarie Conerly tallied eight that included two 3-pointers.

Tradell Causey posted seven.

Jaden Garrett and N’Jyran Williams both had four.

Darrell Harvey recorded two.

Zach Thomas led Pine with 12 points.

D.J. Garrett tallied 10.

Kendall Fountain put up nine that included a 3-pointer

Nathan Martin posted four that included a 3-pointer.

On Tuesday, Pine defeated Bogalusa, 70-41, at home in a District 7-3A contest.

Thomas led Pine with 17 points.

Luke Spears and Fountain both recorded 10.

Martin posted nine on three 3-pointers.

Isaac Barber tallied seven that included a 3-pointer.

Garrett tallied six.

Ahvon Johnson recorded four.

Blaise Seal had three.

Braeden Arceneaux logged two.

Thomas Bernard had one.

Bogalusa’s Damon Tillman scored a game-high 21 points.

Leandes Lester recorded six.

Marley McGowan tallied four.

LaTwaine Levi logged three.

Demarius Holmes posted three.

On Jan. 26, Bogalusa defeated Jewel Sumner, 63-61, as Lester scored 26 points in a District 7-3A home game..

Lester made three 3-pointers.

Nigel Caldwell recorded 15.

LaTwaine Levi posted 12 points that included two 3-pointers.

Damon Tillman tallied six.

Demarius Holmes and Tymarion Hughes both had two.

Bogalusa’s next game will be on Feb. 2 against Pearl River at home.

Franklinton’s next game will be on Feb. 3 against Loranger on the road.

Pine’s next game will be on Feb. 3 against Albany on the road.
