Franklinton’s girls basketball team was defeated by St. Scholastica Academy and Pearl River in District 8-4A home games that were held on Jan. 13 and Tuesday.

The game against St. Scholastica, which was on Jan. 13, was 47-15.

Aviya Brown scored nine points to lead Franklinton. She made a 3-pointer.

Alyssa Bickham, Jailynne Webb and Jazirya Roberts all had two.

The game against Pearl River was 49-8.

Webb and Roberts both recorded three points. Webb made a 3-pointer.

Brown tallied two.

Franklinton’s next game will be on Jan. 20 against Archbishop Hannan at home.
