Bowling Green boys go 1-2 in recent games

Bowling Green School’s boys basketball team posted a 1-2 record in games that were held on Jan. 3, Friday and Saturday.
On Jan. 3, Bowling Green was defeated by Oak Forest Academy, 65-35, on the road.
Hunter Thomas led Bowling Green in points with 14 on 5-of-6 from the field that included a 3-pointer. Thomas pulled down five rebounds, passed for two assists, made a steal and blocked two shots.
Dray Killingsworth made all four of his shots and scored 10 points to go with two rebounds and a steal.
Preston Jarrell tallied three points on a 3-pointer with an assist and a steal.
Camrin Seal had three points and a steal.
Robert Watson recorded three points on a 3-pointer.
Zeke Burford posted two points and a rebound.
Weston Bush had a rebound, three assists and a steal.
On Jan. 6, Bowling Green topped Columbia Academy, 28-26, on the road.
Killingsworth led the way with nine points on 4-of-8 shooting that included a 3-pointer. He pulled down six rebounds and made two steals.
Burford posted eight points on 3-of-5 field goals that included two 3-pointers, three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Watson tallied six points on two 3-pointers and a rebound.
Bush recorded three points on a 3-pointer, an assist and three steals.
Thomas put up two points, while grabbing four rebounds and blocking a shot.
Jarrell pulled down a rebound, dished out two assists and made two steals, while Seal had two boards.
Saturday’s game was a 45-37 loss to Lamar Christian School on the road.
Killingsworth and Thomas both scored 13 points to lead Bowling Green. Both players were 5-of-8 from the floor. Killingsworth made all three of his 3-pointers, grabbed two rebounds, dished out two assists and made a steal. Thomas pulled down eight boards, passed for an assist, made a steal and blocked two shots.
Seal tallied six points on two 3-pointers. He made two of his four shots from the field. Seal had a rebound, an assist and a steal.
Watson scored three points on a 3-pointer.
Tucker Pittman had two points, two rebounds.
Bush posted an assist and a steal, while Jarrell recorded a rebound and a steal and Burford had two boards, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot.
Bowling Green’s next game is Jan. 10 against Silliman Institute at home.
