Big 2nd half helps Franklinton in victory

Franklinton’s boys soccer team scored five goals in the second half of a 6-0 victory over Ascension Christian School to start the 2022-23 season in a road match.
Franklinton led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Jacob Crain in the 32nd minute.
In the second half, the Demons scored five goals.
Breyner Espinoza made it 2-0 before Andrew Fitzmorris tallied the third goal.
Nikolas Schilling scored two of the next three goals. He tallied Franklinton’s fourth and sixth goal.
Crain scored Franklinton’s fifth goal, which was his second of the game.
Kade Aucoin recorded the shutout in net.
Franklinton’s next game will take place on Nov. 19 in the Piney Woods Tournament in Covington.
