Varnado was victorious over Crescent City Christian School, 52-6, in a home game that was held on Thursday in District 10-1A play.

“The kids played well,” Varnado coach Adam Brumfield said. “I’m happy for them. Had a lot of different kids get in the end zone and that’s always good. Defense and special teams had a good game as well. We have a really tough match-up (this) week with Riverside. We have to keep improving if we want to have a chance to win.”

Varnado is 3-5 overall and 2-1 in district. Crescent fell to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in league play.

Varnado will be back in action on Friday when the Wildcats host Riverside Academy at home.
