Bowling Green falls to Oak Forest Academy, 42-13

Bowling Green’s Buccaneers fell behind by 21 points early and never got any closer as they fell to visiting Oak Forest Academy, 42-13, Friday night in Franklinton.
The loss dropped Bowling Green’s record to 3-6 this season.
Oak Forest (5-3) went three-and-out on its first possession but scored on its next drive, taking a 7-0 lead with 2:08 left in the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets used a squib kick during the ensuing kickoff, and the Buccaneers muffed it.
Oak Forest regained possession on the Bowling Green 32, and scored four plays later to increase its lead to 14-0 with 34 seconds left in the first.
The Yellow Jackets added another touchdown to go up 21-0 with 8:26 remaining in the second quarter, but the Buccaneers responded with their first scoring drive of the game.
Josiah Miller scored on a 2-yard touchdown run and the extra point was blocked, as the Yellow Jackets continued to lead 21-6 with 4:01 remaining in the second quarter.
Oak Forest increased its lead to 28-6 at halftime, and 42-6 after three quarters.
Bowling Green got back on the scoreboard with 9:53 remaining in the fourth quarter. Miller scored a 31-yard rushing touchdown and Alex Brock added the extra point.
