Bowling Green was defeated by Parklane, 51-20, at home Friday.

“They were the better football team,” Bowling Green School coach Phill Junkins said. “There’s not a whole lot to say about it. We’ve got to go back to the drawing board.”

Junkins said the little things hurt the team.

Josiah Miller ran for 141 yards on 14 carries and three touchdowns.

Kyron Cowart rushed for 90 yards.

Bowling Green is 3-5, while Parklane is 5-3.

BGS is at home Friday, facing Oak Forest.

“They’re very big and very physical,” Junkins said. “They’re going to run the football and play great defense. It’s a great rivalry and we’re looking forward to it. There’s going to be a great crowd for this game. For our kids, it’s going to be a great challenge. You can’t go into this ballgame and make silly mistakes otherwise you’re not going to win ball games against these types of teams.”

The Bucs are ninth in powerpoints for 4A.

OFA is 4-3 this season after they defeated Silliman, 49-20.
