Bogalusa Blues Festival holds 5K Race

Connor Augustine captured the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival 5K Race that took place on Sept. 24 at Cassidy Park.
Augustine ran the event in 19 minutes, 47 seconds.
Race Director Kristal Provost talked about the race.
“We had a great turn out for the BBHF 5K again this year!” Provost said. “Beautiful weather, coupled by some great competitive spirits, made our seventh year of holding this race a memorable one! We are looking forward to planning next year’s race!”
Glenn Augustine was second at 20:11 with Isaiah Brown coming in third at 20:41, followed by Shaun Stewart’s 22:57. Remy Lambert rounded out the top five with a time of 24:54 in a field of 36.
The top overall female runner was Adley Miller, who posted a time of 26:18.
Avery Bell was the top overall female walker. She had a time of 30:59.
Kenny Adams was the top male walker after a time of 44:38.
