Washington Parish Hoosiers capture tournament

The Washington Parish Hoosiers captured the King of the Coast, the Shakedown in Gulfport, Miss. over the weekend.
The team went 4-0 for the weekend, as they posted a 2-0 record in both pool play and bracket play.
The Hoosiers won the semifinal game, 49-26, to reach the title game.
They won the title game, 52-45.
“It felt good just to see the boys have fun and win and to see their hard work pay off,” Hoosiers coach Clay Thomas said. “They’ve been playing hard all summer and it felt good to watch them enjoy it and win first.”
This was the Hoosiers second tournament win this year. They have also taken runner up three times and made it to semifinals two other times.
