Priscilla Crain Dyson was born in New Orleans, on Sept. 16, 1950. She departed this life on June 3, 2022, in Covington.

She was a faithful church member of Antioch Church of Christ Holiness, where she was a Sunday school teacher and the church recording secretary for many years. Priscilla was also the secretary for the Dyson family reunion. She was a talented seamstress.

Priscilla was affectionately known as “Memaw” among the grandchildren. She was a kind-hearted woman, and she would never let a soul go hungry and made sure you were warm enough when it was cold. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Estelle Crain; four brothers and her one and only sister.

Priscilla C. Dyson leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 56 years, Charles R. Dyson Sr.; her children, Frederick H. Dyson, Michelle R. Dyson, Charles R. Dyson Jr. and Yulanda T. Dyson; five brothers, Felix Crain, Laverne Crain, Raymond Crain, Ralph Crain and Enricky (Teresa) Crain; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing will be Saturday, June 11, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Antioch Church of Christ Holiness Church in Bogalusa, with the Elder Robert Peters, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Plainview Church Cemetery in Mt. Hermon.
