Bogalusa’s Brown, Peters selected to 2nd-team all-district

Bogalusa’s Taniya Brown and Tamerical Peters are second-team all-district players in 8-3A.
Four more Lady Jacks are all-district honorable-mention players.
Bogalusa’s all-district honorable-mention players are Laterrica Payne, Tamiya Crumedy, Caitlyn Holloway and Mariah Myles.
This season, Bogalusa reached the bi-district round of the playoffs, but were defeated by semifinalist Albany, 78-31.
Albany’s Aubrey Hoyt is the league’s Most Valuable Player, while teammate Cayden Boudreaux is the Defensive MVP and Albany’s Stacy Darouse is the district’s Coach of the Year. Hoyt was a first-team player, while Boudreaux is on the second team.
The rest of the first-team players are Jewel Sumner’s Joneé Sims, Albany’s Ja’Meisha Williams and Albany teammates Myran Bartholemy and Aja Bell.
Besides Brown, Peters and Boudreaux, the rest of the second-team players are Archbishop Hannan’s McKenna Sinon and Loranger’s Skylar Ford.
Besides Payne, Crumedy, Holloway and Myles, the rest of the all-district honorable-mention players are Albany’s Brilee Ford, Emma Fuller and Bella Matherne, Archbishop Hannan’s Miranda Holincheck, Alisha Wischkaemper and Cecilia Travers, Loranger’s Madyson Shields, Madison Ackerman and Kenli Reed and Jewel Sumner’s Kadyn Schenk.
Loranger reached the regional round of the playoffs, but was defeated by quarterfinalist Iota, 75-43.
Archbishop Hannan made it to the regional round of the Division II playoffs, but was defeated by state champion St. Louis Catholic, 98-27.
