William “Bill” Hall

On May 9, 2022, Mr. William “Bill” Hall, a resident of Greenbriar Nursing Home, passed away at Slidell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hall was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Slidell and a Bogalusa High School graduate 1950-1951. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was proud to have served his country. During over 50 years as a member of IBEW Union, he did various electrical jobs including the expansion of Bogalusa High School, working inside the paper mill, and countless volunteer work for the community. Mr. Hall loved his bingo, but nothing compared to his love for all his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by a former wife, Vera Davis Hall; one son and his wife, Ron and Syrille Hall; three grandchildren, Keitha (Steve) Barron, Ronald “Rocky” (Kristin) Hall II and Amy (Tommy) McEwen; six great-grandchildren, Kaitlin “Princess” Treadway, Thomas McEwen, Alayna “Angel” Barron, Romy “Butterfly” Barron, Madelyn “Bee” Hall and Aaron “Little Rock” Hall; one great-great grandchild, Arwen Grey; a brother, Jerry McMichael; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by three sons, Gary Wayne Hall, Robert Carroll Hall and Greg “Moby” Hall; his parents, Wroten William and Edith Brady Hall; three sisters, Charlene Santossuo, Janet Schiffer and Shirley Planche; and three brothers, Jack Hall, Steve Hall and Larry Hall.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. On Friday, May 13, visitation will take place in the chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Donald Bryan will officiate service and interment will follow immediately after at Pounds Cemetery in Bogalusa.
