Pine comes up short in the regional round

Pine’s Lady Raiders were defeated by DeQuincy, 7-6, in the regional round of the Class 2A state playoffs on the road on Wednesday, April 20.
Pine was up 6-5 through six innings, but DeQuincy scored two runs in the seventh to win it.
Alyssa Phelps doubled twice, drove in two runs and scored a run.
Addyson Phelps posted two singles and two runs scored.
Bailey Brooks and Kori Sumrall both singled and scored a run.
Kirbee Magee and Lily Crain both had a hit.
Klole Altentaler scored a run, while Dillon Sumrall drove in a run.
Pine had no seniors this year.
No. 11 Pine went 13-7 this season.
Sixth-seeded DeQuincy (20-10) reached the quarterfinals, but was defeated by third-seeded Kinder (31-5), 6-0.
