Ben’s Ford’s Dantin wins 3,200 in district meet

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Avery Dantin won the 3,200 meters at the District 3-4A Meet on Thursday, April 21 at Centreville Academy.
Dantin ran the 3,200 in 16 minutes, 39 minutes.
Thursday’s meet was a qualifier. The top four finishers from each event are headed to South State. South State’s field events began on April 27 and the track events will be on April 30 with everything taking place at Canton Academy. Ben’s Ford is the only school from Washington Parish in District 4-3A.
Ben’s Ford Christian School had one athlete come in second in Delaney Perrette.
Perrette was second in the 100 after running it in 14.90 seconds. Olivia Norwood was fourth at 15.45. Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s Cheylin Bolden won in 14.62.
Perrette was third in the 200 with a time of 32.50. Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s Kylie Bolden topped the event in 29.62.
Dantin was third in the 1,600 with a time of 7:23. Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s Ann Pantin won with a time of 6:27.
Perrette and Norwood were third and fourth in the triple jump with distances of 26 feet, 1.5 inches and 25-10. Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s Kylie Bolden won at 30-8.5.
Madeline Temples and Rachele Boschi came in third and fourth for the shot put at 23-7 and 22-2. Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s Elizabeth won at 30-7.
Boschi and Norwood came in third and fourth for the discus with throws of 50-10.25 and 49-5.5. Wilkinson County Christian Academy’s McKenzie Bryant threw a 91-7 to win.
Wilkinson County Christian Academy won the team event with 156 points.
Ben’s Ford Christian School was second with 33.
