Mt. Hermon topped in softball playoffs

Mt. Hermon School’s Lady Jackets were defeated by Forest, 15-4, in the bi-district round of the Class B state playoffs on April 18.
Emily Bulloch went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
Alyssa Urban singled and scored a run.
Katherine Quin and Kamryn Huval both singled and drove in two runs.
Bailey Fortenberry and Kenzie Tetreau both singled.
Alexis Magee scored a run.
No. 16 Mt. Hermon went 8-14 this season.
Mt. Hermon had two seniors this year in Magee and Layla Riley.
“They were always there ready and willing to work,” Mt. Hermon School coach Grace Magee said. “They tried to always find the positive and use it to pick up their teammates. We had to use Alexis in multiple positions and she always stepped up and did it without question.”
No. 17 Forest reached the regional round, but was defeated by top-seeded Holden, 12-0. Forest went 7-19.
