Varnado’s Wildcats split a doubleheader against Amite, winning 6-4 and being defeated 26-19, on the road in District 9-2A play on Monday.

For the doubleheader, Quantrell Robertson posted five hits and seven runs batted in. Robertson had a double and a triple.

Quovadis Bickham had three hits.

Collin Lozier, Damarion Newkirk, Jabari Robinson and Tyler Whitfield all had a hit.

Varnado will be back in action on Tuesday against Jewel Sumner on the road.
