Franklinton defeated Salmen, but was topped by Pearl River in District 9-4A games that were held on Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday’s game was a 19-3 victory over Salmen in three innings on the road.
Franklinton led 16-0 after two innings.
Skylar Branch went 4-for-4 with three doubles, three runs batted in and three runs scored. Branch also pitched a three-inning no hitter. She allowed no earned runs with five strikeouts and two walks.
K.K. Schexnider posted three hits and missed hitting for the cycle by only a homer. She drove in two runs and scored three runs.
Ashley Smith singled twice and doubled once, drove in four runs and scored two runs.
Shyanne Burris recorded two hits that included a double with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Audrey Carter singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run.
Caylin Turnage singled twice, drove in a run and scored three runs.
Isabella Causey singled, drove in a run and scored three runs.
Amaya Robertson tallied a hit and scored a run.
Rayanna Schillings drove in a run and scored a run.
Thursday’s game was a 16-6 loss to Pearl River.
Schexnider went 3-for-4 with a double, a run batted in and two runs scored.
Causey had two doubles with two RBIs and a run scored.
Turnage singled, doubled and drove in a run.
Branch homered, drove in two runs and scored a run.
Kaleigh Provost doubled and scored a run.
Smith singled.
Franklinton’s next game will be on Monday against Covington on the road.
