Mitchie Allen Welch, 52, a resident of Franklinton, went to his eternal resting place on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Mitch was born on May 1, 1969, in Covington, to his parents, Michael Welch and Renee Grow. He grew up with two sisters and he loved spending time fishing, camping, and traveling to Tennessee with his grandparents. He married the love of his life, Pasty Rester Welch, and they built a beautiful life together with their five children. Mitch worked hard to build his real estate company, Right Direction Realty, and took pride in the business and in his dream of helping others. He loved incorporating his dad and best friend, Mike Welch, in his land developments and enjoyed working with the heavy equipment when land needed clearing. Mitch was a mastermind in the real estate business and loved negotiating a deal. He enjoyed attending the Northshore Real Estate meetings with his friends, Wayne Songy and the late Robert Reid. Nothing made Mitch happier than spending time with his family at the Washington Parish Fair and on vacation. You could always find him in the kitchen at night eating his Blue Bell ice cream or spending time at the river fishing on the weekends. He also liked playing golf when he could. Mitch enjoyed attending church with his wife and children.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Patsy Welch; his children and spouses, Matthew and Meaghan Welch, Lauren and Nathan Ackerman, Christian Welch, Ashlyn Welch, and Adam Welch; his adored granddaughter, Elle Welch; father and step-mother, Michael and Sue Welch; mother, Renee Grow; sisters and brothers-in-law, Michele and Ray Poche, and Bonnie and Tommy Whaley; step-sister and brother-in-law, Elysia and Michael McMillan; step-brother, Brian Sharp; grandmother, Mary Ruth Grow; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chad and Tracy Thomas, and Angela Thomas; grandparents-in-law, Glen and Linda Rester, and Golda and Gordon Jeffers; and also numerous beloved nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.

The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to his co-workers, Madeline Thompson Tatum, Mary Salley, Lisa Pittman and Will Burris, for their support during this difficult time of need.
