Bogalusa’s Ramirez comes in 3rd in the 400 at Pass Christian Invitational

Bogalusa’s Desmond Ramirez came in third place in the 400 meters at the Pass Christian Invitational 2022 that was held on March 26 in Mississippi.
Ramirez ran the race in 55.66 seconds, as St. Stanislaus High School’s Evan Noel won in 53.34.
Bogalusa was the only local team in the meet.
Rashun Davis ran both hurdle events, coming in fourth and fifth in the 110 and 300, respectively, with times of 21.46 and 53.15. Rosenwald Collegiate Academy’s James Gougis won the 110 in 17.12, while St. Patrick High School’s Jameson Thriffiley topped the 300 in 43.60.
Marley McGowan was fourth in the high jump at 5 feet. Pass Christian High School’s Larry Burks won at 6-0.
Ramirez was fourth in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump with distances of 37-0 and 17 feet, 6.5 inches. Pass Christian’s Kameron White won the triple jump at 39-11 and McKay was victorious in the long jump at 19-8.
Tymarion Hodges and Nigel Caldwell were ninth and 11th in the shot put after results of 28-3 and 27-10.75. St. Patrick’s Hunter Lorenzo won at 50-1.
Caldwell and Hodges were ninth and 11th in the discus. St. Stanislaus’s Ryan Tyler won at 137-0.
Bogalusa will compete again on Thursday at Southeastern Louisiana University.
