Mt. Hermon goes 2-2 in recent games

Mt. Hermon School’s Lady Jackets went 2-2 in games held last Wednesday through Friday and Monday.

On Thursday, Mt. Hermon was defeated by Jewel Sumner, 17-0, in three innings  at home.

Bailey Fortenberry, Layla Riley and Kamryn Huval all had a hit.

Jewel Sumner was 20-4 at press time.

The next day was a 24-9 win over Maurepas in four innings in District 8-B play.

Fortenberry drove in six runs as part of a two-hit day that included a triple and two runs scored.

Kenzie Tetreau posted two hits with three runs batted in and three runs scored.

Alexa Bulloch singled twice with two runs batted in and four runs scored.

Emily Bulloch singled, drove in a run and scored four runs.

Jadyn Stafford had a hit, two RBIs and three runs scored.

Alexis Magee tallied a hit with two runs driven in and a run scored.

Katherine Quin and Riley both scored three runs and drove in one, while Alyssa Urban scored a run and drove in two.

The next day was a 15-8 loss to Pope John Paul II in eight innings in a non-district game at home.

The game was tied at 8-8 after seven innings, but Pope John Paul II scored seven runs in the eighth for the win.

Fortenberry went 4-for-5 with two triples with two runs batted in and a run scored.

Riley had three hits and missed hitting for the cycle by only a homer. Riley drove in a run and scored two runs.

Alexa Bulloch singled twice, drove in two runs and scored a run.

Magee recorded two hits and drove in two runs.

Urban singled twice and scored a run.

Stafford singled and scored two runs.

Tetreau singled, scored a run and drove in a run.

On Monday, Mt. Hermon defeated Bogalusa, 20-4, in three innings at home.

Fortenberry homered, drove in four runs and scored two runs.

Urban singled, drove in three and scored three runs.

Riley tallied a hit with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Alexa Bulloch posted a hit with three runs batted in and two runs scored.

Emily Bulloch singled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Brittany Watson drove in three runs and scored a run, while Stafford scored three runs, while Huval tallied two, Tetreau, Magee and Quin both scored a run and drove one home.

Bogalusa’s Lia Norman went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Skyler Keys posted a hit.

McKinley Phillips and Mariah Myles both scored a run and Cierra Gibson drove in a run.

Mt. Hermon’s next game will be on Thursday against Maurepas at home.
