Pine’s Brandon Sprehe recorded two extra-base hits and drove in four runs, as the Raiders led 21-0 after two innings and were victorious over St. Helena College and Career Academy, 27-0, in a District 9-2A game at home on Wednesday.
Sprehe homered, tripled and scored three runs.
Ethan Ryals went 2-for-3 with three runs driven in and a run scored.
Lucas Lemaire posted two hits that included a double with a run batted in and two runs scored.
Hayden Logsdon singled twice with an RBI and two runs scored.
Clint Miley singled with two runs batted in and two runs scored.
Bryson Thomas had a hit with an RBI and three runs scored.
Trey Knight doubled with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Cam Brown singled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Chase Cooper and Luke Spears both doubled and scored three runs.
Turner Deleon singled and scored a run.
Chris Strahan scored two runs, while Brady Polk and Aden Wiggins both scored a run.
Sprehe and Strahan threw two no-hit shutout innings each. Sprehe struckout four and walked nobody. Strahan struckout six and walked nobody.
On Thursday, Pine swept a doubleheader from Amite, 17-0 and 10-0.
Miley singled, tripled, drove in a run and scored two runs.
Lemaire doubled with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Cooper doubled and drove in three runs.
Spears singled, had a run batted in and three runs scored.
Strahan doubled with an RBI and two runs scored.
Polk singled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Brody Thomas singled.
Sprehe scored two runs and drove in one, while Ryals and Bryson Thomas scored two runs and Logsdon scored one run.
Cooper threw three shutout innings of one-hit ball with nine strikeouts and no walks.
The second game was a 10-0 win.
Strahan tripled, drove in two runs and scored a run.
Sprehe doubled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Deleon scored two runs, while Cooper, Brown, Brody Thomas, Miley, Nick Duncan and Knight all scored a run and Logsdon and Connor Caldwell both drove in a run.
Spears allowed one hit over three shutout innings with six strikeouts and no walks.
Pine’s next game will be against St. Helena College and Career Academy on Tuesday on the road.
